About Us: InCirclePets.com is a free on-line resource for San Francisco Bay Area pet owners and urban animal lovers.
The SF Bay Area is an amazing spot in which to have an animal, yet we found it difficult to get our hands on quality, trustworthy information about local pet-related services and activities.
Our contributors spend hours researching organizations and business as well as websites, newsletters and magazines - all to get you the best possible local information. Every weekday we provide you with pet care tips, the latest pet news - and much more!
We launch InCirclePets.com to inspire you to discover the joy and pleasure of sharing little moments with your pets right here in our own backyard. By tapping in to local experts and end users alike, we're putting together a wealth of knowledge we can all share and benefit from!
Join our community and help us create a vibrant, SF Bay Area pet resource directory. Please help us spread the word! Thanks.
Community Spirit: InCirclePets.com is a self-funded, locally owned site - a labor of love really. Whenever we can, we support our local shelters and organizations by providing informational classes and promoting awareness of animal welfare causes and pet adoption programs.
We also love to support local SF Bay Area businesses. Buying local supports our SF Bay Area economy, helps the environment and makes for a richer community experience. Look around our site and learn about the many amazing small business owners that are doing good things in our community.
A Little Note about Our Content (written by Anna): I'm including this because my friends in publishing told me to share this information. This mainly has to do with paid content. I was taught in grad school that this constitutes an advertisement. So I'll make sure to mark any paid content as such - an ad or sponsorship.
We write about things we like and our guest contributors do the same. And as much as we like free stuff, gifts and samples we do not accept them here. Thanks.
About the Voice of InCirclePets.com

Anna MF Patty (Founder): Anna is a stay-at-home mom of two active little boys and one very patient beagle named Peppermint. Before settling in the Bay Area with her husband, she lived in Philly, Boston, Los Angeles and Hawaii. After traveling through pet-doting cities such as Paris and Tokyo, she was inspired to create a simple site, which helps San Francisco Bay Area animal lovers find quality information.
She loves local artists, businesses and organizations which have a vision for contributing something new and fresh to the community. Her favorite travels include a Serengeti safari, Dubai desert dune drive and Caribbean island kayaking trip - basically anything which involves wildlife. You can reach Anna at anna@incirclepets.com

Lisa-Anne Manolius: Lisa left a life as a successful lawyer to live her dream of working with animals. She founded Oh Behave! a private dog training business she owns and operates in the city - and is a graduate of the SF SPCA's Academy for Dog Trainers.
An island girl who loves to spend time with her family of pets and humans, Lisa is passionate about dog training, animals and animal behavior as well as cooking, writing and traveling.
Her first pet was a white kid (as in baby goat) named Snow. Lisa lives in San Francisco with her husband, stepson and a crew of critters - Vinnie, a rescue Kelpie mix who is very well trained, her cat Ted who is also very well trained (clicker-trained by Lisa of course!) and her Russian Desert Tortoise Thomas who is completely untrained.
Before calling San Francisco her home, she lived in Jamaica, Canada and the lone-star state of Texas. You can reach Lisa at lisaohbehave@gmail.com

Alexis James: Alexis recently launched a web-based eco-friendly pet clothing company called Earth's Best Friend. She and her partner work hard to come up with adorable designs, making sure everything is sourced from eco-friendly suppliers and then sent to a manufacturer in San Francisco.
Aside from being obsessed with dogs, Alexis is a self-employed copywriter, blogger and owner of 10th Floor PR. She, her two energetic beagles and one very understanding husband cram into a 500 square feet apartment in the Pac Height district of San Francisco.
Alexis is a military brat who can't sit still for very long and therefore enjoys her ever changing consulting work, fast-paced city life and traveling the world (her favorite cities so far are a toss-up between Tokyo and Hong Kong).
In a former life she was a TV reporter and producer, but traded in that high-stress schedule for one where she could write, travel, and hang out with her dogs, friends and family. You can reach Alexis at alexis@10thfloorpr.com.

Karli McAllister: Karli is a budding photojournalist and lover of everything dog. She currently works at a doggie daycare in the Mission District where she gets her fix of canine love before going home to her two kitties, Scout and Bowser. She can often be found in local dog parks documenting the fun and the drama of puppy play. Originally from the East Coast, Karli moved her half a decade ago and has been loving life in the Bay Area ever since.

Hiromi Motojima: Hiromi’s childhood dream was to work at Mutsugoro Animal Kingdom , a well-known wildlife sanctuary in Hokkaido, Japan.
While she didn’t end up in Hokkaido, Hiromi still surrounds herself with animals. Most recently in late 2008, she and her husband welcomed a yorkie poo puppy named Mochi. She also found a way to incorporate her love of animals (snakes, rabbits, dogs, cats – you name it!) into her professional photography career.
Hiromi and her husband started off as wedding photographer but she soon gravitated towards pet photography. She likes working with all kinds of animals - even those that don’t particularly like to sit still.
You can visit her at C&M Photography or her blog . Hiromi can be reached at hiromi@candmphotography.com.

Evelyn Sharp DVM: Before Dr. Evelyn Sharp went to UC Davis to get her DVM, (the first time she was there she ended up with an electrical engineering degree!) she designed computer chips while raising chickens, sheep, dogs, bunnies, alpacas and Ilamas. What’s her most memorable childhood gift? A puppy. Because before then, she was totally afraid of dogs.
Evelyn now lives in Santa Cruz where she’s been practicing holistic veterinary medicine for over 13 years. Preferring preventative treatment over medical intervention, she likes to help families learn how to create a healthy lifestyle, so critters (both cats and dogs) are able to enjoy a long and happy life with little time in the hospital.
During her downtime, you can find her recycling, homesteading and quilting. Her two Border Collies, who are learning how to herd, keep her on her toes. She is also proud parent of three rescue cats who she shares the couch with. You can visit her at My Personal Vet or at her blog. She can be reach at dr@mypersonalvet.com.
