Why do I need a profile before posting something on the site?
We’d get a ton more spam comments if we didn’t have users set up a profile before posting anything on the site. This also helps us maintain the quality and integrity of the resource database. Rest assured. Your personal information will be kept strictly confidential.
Why are you only in the Bay Area?
We’d love to be everywhere! But we’re starting here because we know and understand this area well.
You can list services, organizations, activities, and events related to animals. We have the traditional pet categories of groomers, dog walkers, etc. But we also list restaurants that are pet-friendly and we are currently working on a fashion category, which includes vegan retailers. If you have questions about this, please feel free to send us an email.
What’s your policy on adding a resource or listing?
It’s a free service we provide to local business, organizations, individuals, and non-profits. In order for you to show up in our directory, you have to be in the general Bay Area. And this is a pet/animal resource site, so the entry should stay on topic. Anything which is offensive or flagged by users as such will be reviewed and if necessary taken down.
Of course, we’d love to help out. If you have lost a pet, please send us an email and we’ll run your ad in our article section. There will also eventually be a lost and found category, which people will be able to search through to see your ad. Please include as much information (1 - 2 photos, weight, height, breed, markings, where lost, your contact information, reward if any) as possible and send us an email here. If someone has located your pet, please send us an email.
The stories we feature are not paid spots! There are no hidden advertisements here. The editors select the products and services to feature based on what they like and think you would be interested in. As tempting as it sounds, we do not accept cash or presents in exchange for a spot on our story section.
