Bernal Height's St Mary's Park Fenced-in-Fun Dog Park

Dog Smile, The Complete Definition of Happiness

I have curious, nose-driven, boundary-challenged beagles. Of course since we live in the city, in a tiny apartment, we often take them for off-leash romps in spite of their tendency to let the olfactory senses lead the way. Needless to say, sometimes I get a little nervous. That's why I love, love, love fenced-in parks. And not fenced in, overwhelming DOG parks – that's too much canine activity for my anti-social pups – but rather parks that just happen to be fenced in.

St. Mary's park and dog park is just such a place. It's perfect because it's fairly large so doesn't feel crowded even when there are bigger dogs around. Plus -it actually has GRASS, and is well-kept just like a park should be. Additionally you'll find benches and tables where you can sit while your pup takes advantage of a great walk in the park.

About InCirclePets.com: We highlight locally-owned pet businesses, non-profits and organizations as well as pet-friendly activities. We think the Bay Area is an amazing spot in which to have an animal, yet we know that many hidden gems go unnoticed and local spots may not get the attention they deserve. We hope to fill in this gap. If you think we could be doing things better, send us an email . Click here to learn more about us.
