Society Dog: Let the Good Times Roll at Mardi Gras in San Jose

If you're getting in the mood to let the good times roll, you're in luck - Mardi Gras is just around the corner, and Society Dog is ready to party with an afternoon of walking, eating, and general fun and frolicking. If you're local to San Jose, it's sure to be an event you won't want to miss!
Terri Festa, founder of Society Dog and a previous Louisiana resident, works hard to keep the tradition alive in the South Bay. “We love bringing uniquely fun events for dog-lovers to the Bay Area while sharing & supporting dog-friendly businesses,” says Terri. This is the 7th year that Society Dog is holding the Mardi Dogs Paw-ty!
The afternoon begins at 2:30 on Saturday, Feb. 6 with a one-hour group walk starting at San Pedro Square between Peggy Sue’s and Old Spaghetti Factory. After the walk, there will be a Mardi Dogs party at Sabor Tapas Bar and Lounge, where snacks and Mardi Gras King Cake will be served, along with dog treats for the canine guests. There will be games for everyone (including pets), and the presentation of the canine Mardi Gras - ahem - royal court.
Tickets for this event are $25 per person, and dogs attend for free. You can pay directly at the event in cash, or via PayPal on the web site. You do have to be a registered Society Dog member to participate in this event, but not to worry if you haven't taken care of that yet - you can sign up for free on their web site, or you can even just wait and do it at the event itself if you prefer to speak to someone in person.
This event is great fun, and you'll go home happy and draped in Mardi Gras beads. It's the only dog-friendly Mardi Gras party in San Jose, so make sure you don't get left out of all the fun!
