FREE WORKSHOP: Learn Bird Basics Marin Humane Society

Perfect for bird guardians and those considering adopting a bird

The Marin Humane Society will host a FREE Bird Basics workshop on Saturday, March 13 from 10 AM - Noon. Presented by local bird rescue organization Mickaboo Companion Bird Rescue, this workshop is designed to give bird guardians, and those thinking of adding a bird to their family, the tools they need to prevent or correct behavior and health problems.

Highly social and intelligent, birds are still wild animals and as such, their normal behavior can make them difficult and demanding to live with. Issues like noise, biting and destructive behavior are common challenges for bird guardians.

Bird Basics will address proper avian care and diet, symptoms of illness and first aid, general husbandry, taming and training, and much more.
