We include everything from pet-friendly weekend escapes, to green gear and vegan fashion, to hip pet boutiques – and throw in local recommendations, expert advice, and time and money saving tips to enhance your pet parenting experience.
The Bay Area is an amazing spot in which to have an animal, yet we know that many hidden gems go unnoticed and local spots may not get the attention they deserve.
We launched InCirclePets.com to bring together like minded individuals to inform each other on these topics, and to inspire you to discover the joy and pleasure of sharing little moments with your pets here in our own backyard. By tapping into local experts and end users alike, we’re putting together a wealth of knowledge we can all share and benefit from!
Our Community Spirit: In Circle Pets was founded in the spirit of giving back to the community, thus we place a premium on helping Bay Area organizations and businesses. A portion of income generated from this site will be given back to local charities and programs.

Anna MF Patty: Founder. Urban explorer. Dog park addict.
Anna is passionate about anything, well, animal related. Before settling in the Bay Area with her husband, son and 40 pound beagle she lived in Philly, Boston, Los Angeles, and Hawaii. After traveling through pet-doting cities such as Paris and Tokyo, she was inspired to create a simple site which helped sophisticated urban animal lovers find the best resources for their pets.
She loves local artists, businesses, and organizations which have a vision for contributing something new and fresh to the community. Her favorite travels include a Serengeti safari, Dubai desert dune drive and Caribbean island kayaking trip – basically anything which involves wildlife. An island girl who loves to spend time with her family of pets and humans, Lisa is passionate about dog training, animals, animal behavior as well as cooking, writing fiction and non-fiction, and traveling.
Her first pet was a white kid (as in baby goat) named Snow. Lisa lives in San Francisco with her husband, stepson, and a crew of critters - Vinnie, a rescued Kelpie mix who is very well trained, her cat Ted who is also very well trained (clicker-trained by Lisa of course!), and her Russian Desert Tortoise Thomas who is completely untrained.

Ed has had many careers and interests since finally dropping out of Ventura College in mutual frustration during his Junior year. Car rental manager, professional photofinisher, stationary store clerk, digital imaging artist, amateur sports official among others. Some of those just didn’t pan out, as Ed just had to be the Alpha in a non-agreeable pack.
Ed is crazy. About his wife, Jan; his four kids: Peter, Jessica, Casey and Zack; his zoo composed of Bill, two cats named Macy and Maia, a bunny, a leopard gecko, a Whyte’s tree frog and a Chilean Rosehair tarantula. Alexis James: Nomad. Entrepreneur. Doggie mamma.
Alexis recently launched a web-based eco-friendly pet clothing company, called Earth's Best Friend. She and her partner work hard to come up with adorable designs, make sure everything is sourced from eco-friendly suppliers, then send it to their manufacturer in San Francisco.
Aside from being obsessed with dogs, Alexis is a self-employed copywriter, blogger and owners of 10th Floor PR. She, her two energetic beagles, and one very understanding husband cram into a 500 square foot apartment in the Pac Heights district of San Francisco.
Alexis is a military brat who can't sit still for very long and therefore enjoys her ever-changing consultant work, fast-paced city life, and traveling the world (her favorite cities so far are a toss-up between Tokyo and Hong Kong).
